BIT- Business – Innovations – Technologies Ltd continues the activity of BIT- NOT Technical Informations Office and BIT – MTP Technical Informations Office – Poznan International Fair Ltd.

BIT Ltd:
  • organizes and provides logistic support to trade fair competitions held by the Poznań International Fair, among them:
    • PIF Gold Medal competitions for the best products exhibited at the trade events organized by the Poznań International Fair,
    • PIF Gold Medal competitions in the "Safe technological product" category,
    • SAWO PIF Grand Prix and SAWO PIF Gold Medal competitions at the International Fair of Work Protection, Rescue and Fire Fighting Equipment,
    • PIF Gold Medal in Wine Competitions organized at the International Trade Fair for the Food Industry POLAGRA FOOD;
  • promotes products awarded with distinctions at competitions organized during trade fair events;
  • organizes and arranges conferences, symposia, seminars and other business meetings with participants from Poland and abroad, including matchmaking, held during trade fair events and in-between trade events, in the PIF Congress Centre (room booking, providing conference facilities, interpreters, audio and video equipment, refreshments, expert speakers);
  • organizes training for Polish companies and their employees; topics include those suggested by the interested companies and those on BIT’s offer;
  • organizes professional visits to trade fair exhibitions for university students, students of vocational schools and specialists representing different branches and trades, especially when brand new products are displayed; expert speakers are often invited;
  • helps eligible foreign companies from EU member states, including exhibitors at the Poznań International Fair, to recover VAT paid for goods and services purchased in Poland;
  • assists in booking accommodation in Poznań and its vicinity for visitors to trade fair events, participants in conferences and symposia, meetings and other events that accompany trade fairs and other meetings;

The history of BIT - MTP goes back to 1956 when the Chief Technical Organization, in consultation with the Polish Chamber of Foreign Trade, established BIT - NOT: Biuro Informacji Technicznej - Naczelna Organizacja Techniczna [Technical Information Office - Chief Technical Organization]. Its basic task was to organize the stay of Polish engineers and technicians at the Poznań International Fair and use the trade fair as a place of contact with the latest technology and designs presented in Poznań by exhibitors from all over the world. Since that time BIT has organized conferences, symposia, seminars and training sessions that accompany trade fairs.

This year we are having our fiftieth anniversary!

Preparation and organization of competitions for trade fair distinctions awarded to the exhibitors and their products started back in 1971. The idea was modelled on those which were implemented at other renowned foreign trade fairs and exhibitions. The Gold Medal Award of the Poznań International Fair became a feature of the trade events organized by the Poznań International Fair in 1979, following a decision made by the Foreign Trade Minister in consultation with the NOT Board President. Since that time the award has helped to promote top quality products. BIT has been involved in the organization of PIF Gold Medal competitions for over 25 years now. Today, the competition is held at almost all trade events organized in Poznań.

In 1989 BIT - NOT was transformed into a limited liability company styled Biuro Informacji Technicznej - Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie [Technical Information Office - Poznań International Fair], which helped it more effectively pursue its mission with the support and participation of the Poznań International Fair. BIT - MTP could expand its offer to the participants in trade fair events - exhibitors and visitors who came to individual exhibitions and shows.

In 2005 BIT - MTP witnessed significant structural and personal changes. The articles of association were amended and the company was granted greater powers. From that time on the BIT has been one of the subordinate companies of the PIF capital group, with its own mission and tasks that are part of the PIF marketing policy.

Presently, BIT- Business – Innovations – Technologies Ltd. , in addition to the organization of trade fair competitions (more on that below), is involved in the promotion of new products exhibited at the trade fairs, organization of conferences, symposia, seminars, training sessions and other business meetings; topics include those suggested by the customers and those on BIT’s offer. All these meetings can be organized during trade events and in the periods between them, and the offer is extended also to participants of events held on the grounds of the Poznań International Fair, in its Congress Centre, in the city of Poznań and in the region of Wielkopolska.

BIT also cooperates with business organizations of entrepreneurs. It is also very active beyond the boundaries of Wielkopolska as well as those of Poland.
